Finding Media
- Browse the Film & Video Collections guide
- Search for media in Roger
- Use the Film and Video Scope and select search options from the index menu
- Can't find what you need?
- Use the Purchase Request Form
- Make an Interlibrary Loan request
Requesting Media
Media items are held in storage
- Search for media in Roger and click the 'Request' link to complete the form
- Media will be available within 2 business days
- You will receive an email notification when materials are ready for pickup
- All media will be held for pickup at Geisel's Front Desk
- Undergraduates and non-affiliates must use media materials in the library
- Media may be requested in person, on-demand, at Geisel's Front Desk
- Materials will be retrieved within 15 minutes
Viewing Media
- Group Viewing Rooms and Media Viewing Stations
- 1 Group Viewing Rooms (16 people maximum each) available with reservation by visiting Geisel's Front Desk, by phone at (858) 534-0134, or via email at LibraryBorrowing@ucsd.edu
- 6 Media Viewing Stations available on first come, first served basis at Geisel's Front Desk
- Portable Blu-Ray players are available for checkout to students, staff, and faculty
- PC productivity stations (most library computers) have disc drives for DVD playback (no Blu-Ray)
16mm Film Collection
- Screening of 16mm films must be arranged in advance by submitting the 16mm Film Viewing Request Form
- In-class screenings of 16mm films must be projected by professionals from Educational Technology Services
- Faculty and Graduate Students are eligible for Projection Certification to project films for class use; contact the Media Curation Librarian for further information
